I bet your pumpkin patch doesn't have...

...what our pumpkin patch has!

Bright sunshine and 100+ degree temperatures...

An Old West town...

Saguaro cactus...

Pumpkins "growing" out of hay bales (replenished by a guy driving a forklift containing a large box of pumpkins...)

Lassos...

"Cows"...

Golfing practice...

Little cuties mining for "gemstones"

Family visiting from Indy!

Hay bale maze...in the desert...where do they get the hay?!

You may have a hayride, but you don't have these views...

...or get to be pulled by mules...

"Hi mules!"

Hayride fun...

More cute kiddo pictures from our day!

"This one Daddy!"

We did have a great time at the pumpkin patch, even with the heat! The kids enjoyed it and we came home with a lovely pumpkin! We couldn't convince any of our kids to partake in the horse rides and they weren't overly interested in petting the farm animals either. Oh well...maybe next year!

How do I always get so far behind?!

It's the pictures...I get too wrapped up in looking at every photo before I decide what to post...and that takes time! So I'm behind...again! I need to post Allen's birthday party and his 2-year check-up stats and a multitude of random cuteness...AUGH!
But, no time now. I am picking up the house and getting it cleaned up for Auntie Maggie and baby Elizabeth's arrival this evening! The boys are so excited to have them here for the weekend! (Hopefully Uncle Jim will make it tomorrow, if the flights work out!) And we can probably stop calling her baby Elizabeth, but it lessens the confusion since Drew has a good friend in Knoxville named Elizabeth and we have to distinguish between the two and that's what she's been for so long...the baby... I have a feeling she might rock the boys' world this trip...from our phone conversations I'm pretty confident she can rival Allen in any battle!

Happy Birthday Allen!

Thursday, October 8, we celebrated Allen's birthday. It is so crazy to think that it was 2 years ago that we brought the (rather large) baby boy into this world! He has grown so much and is a joy to have in our lives!
We started our day with donuts and a candle followed by a trip to the zoo. Nana and Grandaddy were in town to celebrate with us and we had a great time wandering around, seeing animals and playing in the children's area.

Music Man

Drew has started singing...all the time! He sings songs he knows, makes up new words to tunes he is familiar with, and makes up new songs from scratch! Everything is set to music and he will bust into song at any time. It is seriously like living in a musical!!

Golf 101...with LOTS of pictures!

Today Patrick decided that the boys were ready for an outing to the driving range. They had a great time, although I don't think we have any golf prodigies on our hands!

Walking to the range...Drew got so many comments from people who passed us! They thought his bag was awesome!

Learning to swing the club...

A few more pointers...

Waiting patiently for his turn...

I think it's time for me to get some of these...

Allen's turn!

Change of venues...

Drew is pretty good at putting!

Allen likes to drop the ball into the hole...

...then pull the stick to get it back out!

"Got it!"

We interrupt this program for a sighting of a BUS!

Now back to our regularly scheduled program...

A successful outing for sure!

Just for fun...

Here are a few miscellaneous pictures from the past couple of weeks. Nana and Grandaddy came to visit and the boys loved sitting with them and watching movies. They were so cute cuddled up on the couch! (Grandaddy has all the good pictures on his camera...maybe he'll share them and I can post more!)

A daily occurrence at our house...the running of the dump trucks...

When you live in Arizona, cabin fever sets in during the summer. So Drew and I made a hopscotch board on the floor with masking tape. He thought it was hilarious!

Cheese!

The boys LOVE In-N-Out Burger. It was the first cheeseburger Drew would actually eat (and he compares all other burgers to it!). Allen has enjoyed them ever since our first visit. The kid seriously savors every bite! Yummy!

On our last visit, Drew said "Daddy, I hope I can work at In-N-Out Burger when I get bigger..." Ahh...high aspirations!
