Well, we have been in our new house for a month and we are getting settled (although there is a long way to go!). We finally ordered some furniture for the family room so we won't have to sit on the floor anymore! The boys are getting used to having their playroom in the finished basement. They won't go down to play on their own but if the other will go down they are fine together. I think the fear comes from too much Scooby Doo and all the noises coming from the storage room down there! The exterior of the house is coming along...slowly... We moved in on a temporary occupancy permit as the house wasn't really finished due to the hard winter they have had this year. So we just got exterior paint last week, landscaping this week and we will (hopefully!) have sod next week. They are predicting more snow today and this weekend which will really set back the sod. Grrr... Poor Maddie has a 4'x4' pin with mulch down to go outside and do her business. She is not a happy camper! They did get our porch screened last week so she has spent a lot of time out there on the warmer days. Inside we are still dealing with boxes but we are making progress. We got a ton done the first 10 days and since then it's been more trying to decorate and figure out where everything goes rather than just unpacking. We are trying to knock out one room at a time...it's a very slow process when you have a regular life of cooking, laundry, errands...all with two very busy boys!
The boys are doing great in their new preschool and seem to be fitting in well. Both of their teachers are very complementary of their behavior and participation in class. I went to Kindergarten Roundup at Drew's school for next year and it seems like a great school. It is right in our neighborhood which is really nice.
We have loved spending time with old friends and look forward to getting together with more in the coming month. Life is settling in to our new "normal"!
