Thomas has currently been replaced. I'm not sure how long it will last, but right now everything in Drew's life revolves around Lightning McQueen. He has watched the movie at least 5 times in the past few weeks, not counting partial screenings. He loves everything about it and pumps his fists out in front of him saying "ka-ching, ka-ching, ka-ching" - it's so funny. I finally sat down with him last night to watch the whole thing (we had not had the best day so wrapping the evening up with a peaceful movie viewing was just what we needed) and I must say, I laughed A LOT! Mater cracks me up! He still plays some with his trains, but our conversations definitely revolve around Lightning. It's an interesting change...I can't wait to see what happens next!
Oh, and last night when I told him we could watch it, he ran upstairs, turned on the TV, the DVD player, removed the DVD that was in it, put it away in the appropriate case, loaded the CARS DVD and closed the player. All without any assistance from me. Hmmm...
